These days, more and more people become aware of the importance of developing healthy eating habits and consequently, they are trying to lead a healthier life. The soy industry is making people believe that processed soy is good for heart health, even though this is not true. According to Dr. Daniel, food processors in the West separate the soybeans into protein and oil, something that is anything but safe and healthy.
These methods include high pressure, high temperature, alkali, petroleum solvents, acid baths, and carcinogenic and toxic residues. These fractioned products – isolate and hydrolyze plant protein, due to all processed soy, contain high amounts of phytates and trypsin. The first one blocks the mineral absorption and the latter blocks proper digestion.
High- soy diet is associated with many health issues, including the following:
- Soy allergies
- Reproductive disorfers
- Premature puberty and other developmental problems in babies, children and adolescents
- Brain damage
- Thyroid problems, including weight gain, lethargy, malaise, fatigue, hair loss, and loss of libido
Babies and children who are still developing are most susceptible to soy`s hormone-mimicking effects. As proven by a Lancet study, the daily exposure to estrogen-imitating chemicals for infants who consume formulas is actually 6-11 times higher than adults who consume soy foods. This study has also shown that blood concentration of these hormones was 13,000 to 22,000 times higher than estrogen in the bloodstream. An infant fed soy formula receives the estrogenic equivalent, which is based on the body weight, of up to 5 birth control pills daily. Mothers should stop giving soy products to their babies and pregnant women should avoid these products too, as these products are associated with many health issues on the unborn child.
